New Pictures of Baby Emmans

Now that we are catching up with our blog - prepare for a slew of updates over the next week or so. I (Brian) apologize for the extreme laziness in updating our website with current pictures, events, and information. Things have been especially crazy since Christmas, but I am going to try really hard to make this a priority and be a lot more consistent.

One fun story is the first day that we felt the baby move. Yes I did say WE because Delia felt it for the first time with me. We were sitting in bed talking and my hand was on her stomach (around this time I had read that the baby was supposed to start moving so I was dying to feel them and every night would wait in anticipation). All of a sudden we both felt a little nudge on her stomach and then another two nudges. It was SO neat that we were able to experience that at the same time! Now the baby is moving like crazy all of the time!!

On January 23, 2007 Delia had an ultrasound to check on the baby's growth and see if there were any problems. Praise God that our little one is doing perfect and is developing exactly how they are supposed to be! It was more difficult for Brian to choose to keep the gender a secret (the doctor HAD to ask "Are you sure you don't want to know?") but in the end we are both excited that it will be a surprise. During the ultrasound the baby was moving all over the place and so the doctor got some really good 3D and 4D pictures. We have attached a few of them below:

This appointment definitely made the reality sink in more that we were going to be parents. Although we don't think that any person can adequately prepare for something like this - we know that children are a blessing and that God will lead us along the way.
